The Seven-Lettered Theory.

A seven-lettered-word. Silence.
Its sometimes painfully curbed. Incoherent. Timid. And sometimes it shouts loudly into our ears, until they hurt. Its calm and soothing sometimes, else, it feels rigid and stern. A seven-lettered-word. Silence.
Ecstasy. Again, seven-lettered. Extreme happiness. Breathtakingly beautiful and chaotic feeling. It can make as well as break a human. And you know what, at a certain point, ecstasy hurts.
Another seven-lettered word. Anguish. That is pain. And pain demands to be felt. Anguish makes us grieve and suffer. And we have to give in, cluelessly. Unfortunately.
To come next, Rivalry. The root of hatred. Result of enviousness. Reward of jealousy. Wanting to compete, and making things more complicated and difficult than they actually are.
Yet another seven-lettered word. Revenge. The outcome of hatred. It makes us do all the acts forbidden by our set morals and makes it impossible to abide by our principles.
And countering the above word, next seven-lettered-word. Forgive. Meaning, granting pardon. Waiving enmity. Acknowledging peace. Exempting from a guilt.
And the seventh seven-lettered-word. Honesty. That can shake mountains. Its being loyal and faithful. Adhering to the made commitment. And being trustworthy.

Life would have been so easy if these seven things, the world would have understood and known which to imply in their lives, isn't it?

The First Rain.

Quantitative Aptitude, I mean Mathematics lecture was going on. Maths had always been boring to me. (Pardon me, Sir, if you're reading this.) I should've concentrated, of course, when exams are just a week away. Yet, the “Probability and Theoretical Distribution” seemed as dull as ever. I was adjusting my specs and hairs and really trying to concentrate. Vain!
A look out of the window, maybe that’s what I really needed. It was slightly raining. Drop by drop. Slowly. And that got me very eager to finish the lecture at once and get out to enjoy the rains!
I had always been fond of rains, right since my childhood. The sight of the clouds getting dark and the time it was about to rain was my favourite.  And now, I was waiting impatiently to get wet at once!
The lecture finally ended.
“Are you coming along?” I asked Sneha.
“Yes, I am.” She replied enthusiastically.
“Yes of course, who can miss getting wet in the first rain?” I winked.
“Except for those beauty queens, who’re more bothered about their makeup?” She laughed. Actually, roared, pointing to the typical girls of our class, whose nail paint’s colour matched to their lipstick’s colour and contradicted with the colour they wore.
Me and Sneha, we ran out of the class.
The rain had become severe, as soon as I stepped out, I was entirely wet. The feeling of the drops of rain on my face made me ecstatic.
Rain is love!
I collected some water in my palms and splashed it on Sneha, who did the same to me. Soon, we both were the only lunatics playing in the rain, while everyone else was trying to protect themselves from the water.
We were walking by the edge of the road, when we saw an ice-cream parlour. We both looked at each other and smiled wildly. We bought ice-creams and ate it walking along in the pouring rain. It was fun.
Soon, it was time to get back home and get scolded for not carrying an umbrella. But I didn't mind, this rain was worth!

Paradox.

I don't know if I am the only one who feels this. Or maybe just everyone around us feels the same, but keeps it up to themselves. Am I, too, supposed to keep this up to myself? Or should I scream and shout to the world?
There are days I feel like I should travel the entire world and see new places and wear new clothes and meet new people and learn new kind of art. And some days, I feel like locking myself up in my room, sliding inside my blanket, disconnecting all the chords with the world and peacefully read 'The Fault In Our Stars.'
There are days I feel like running away, to an unknown place, a place far away from here, where no one would know my name. And some days, I feel like doing something so great or achieving something so magnificent that the entire world would know me.
There are days I crave for attention, and do all the possible things to get noticed and liked and appreciated. And some days I feel like the attention I actually get from people should be just overthrown and I reject it when it comes my way.
There are days when I die to meet him, to see him, to talk to him, to feel him, to communicate with him. And some days, I feel like I don't want him at all, like I don't want to come in contact with him, like I don't want to see him, ever.
I know I'm an epic contradiction. But am I the only one? Or there are millions like me?

My Ethereal World.

"Ethereal World?" She screamed with all her energy.
"Yes." I murmured.
Wait! What on the earth is that? Tell me right here," she yelled back.
I gathered up my shit and tried to be confident in front of her- my bestfriend, more than that a soul sister. I was going to explain her something which even I wasn't sure of.
"Speak up," she said, trying to be calm.
"Sneha," I began, hesitatingly, "Ethereal World is my world. A world, where there’s peace. That’s it.”
“I don’t understand.” She declared. “Explain it, elaborate.”
“Um, how do I explain it? It’s like the place I’d had always dreamt of. Peaceful. Nonchalant. Where I don’t give a damn to what everybody does. Where I am more of me, than I’d ever been. It’s like a virtual world that I’ve created around myself. The things that used to hurt me, the things that used to get on my nerves don’t affect me anymore here. It’s the world I always wanted to be in. I am no more affected by someone’s being there or no. I’ve built walls around myself and I am in no mood to enter the outside world. It’s secluded and solitary. No one can enter. And I cannot go out, willingly or unwillingly. I like it in here, it’s undisturbed and serene. Worldly things don’t seem to bother me as much as they did, before. I feel calm and placid. This imaginary place I’ve built around me, it’s stolid. It’s like, I feel free, like that bird flying high up in the air, which has no worries. More, it’s like being intoxicated. It’s addictive, this virtual place. It gives me immense happiness and makes me cool and composed each time I should’ve been hurt and crying. I feel nothing but ecstasy here. And I don’t know its good or no.”

I took a pause.

“You understand?” I asked her.
“To the bits. Idio, it’s really good that you don’t feel hurt or pain. It’s really good that you are happy. But remember, you cannot stay in here forever. You’ve to come out of this Ethereal World someday.”
“I know,” I said, “And I’d keep hoping and praying that the day never comes. I want to stay here, forever.”

Woman, an incredible part of God's creation!

A woman gave birth to a baby girl. Her entire family rejoiced and celebrated. Her mother, she had a different story told. Her father was euphoric and distributed sweets. Her grandparents, they were on cloud nine, for her birth had given them an altogether different happiness of becoming grandparents. Everything was pleasant.
As she grew elder, she had a younger brother, too. Everyone’s attention used to be confined to the younger child in the family. But she smiled anyway and let go of it. Little did this girl know, it was just the beginning!
As time passed by, she had to give up small pleasures in life for her younger brother. She never denied doing this and happily sacrificed numerous things for her younger brother, without being remarked.
In her teenage years, when she realized that her best friend loved the same guy she loved, she sat in a corner and cried for the entire night, just to be stronger the next day, and to let go of the guy.
When she appeared for a job interview, she faced many hurdles as male colleagues were offered more opportunities. But, she never gave up. She struggled.
At the time of her marriage, her fiancée and in-laws asked her to quit her job as well. She did so with a smile. Yeah, she sacrificed her job, too. After marriage, she was forced into all the rituals and everything, but she never refused to do anything. Anything.
Some years down the line, her husband didn’t show the same affection towards her, but she was okay with it. She had borne the killing pain during childbirth, but she wanted to give a life to see this beautiful world! (Wonder how she still thinks that the world is beautiful!)
As her children grew, they drifted away from her, abandoning her and her motherhood. Yet, she smiled and let them go, she knew it was their life. Her husband, after so many years of marriage, had taken her for granted and never did a word of appreciation or understanding escape his mouth. But she didn’t mind not getting noticed.
Time passed by and she became old. Her children, whom she loved the most in this world, were far away from her. She could just wait and wait to see them.
Some days later, she died, waiting for her children to come back, waiting for people to realize her worth. Nothing of that sort really happened. She was forgotten and her memories, they faded away.

Guys, this isn’t the story of one single woman. Most of them face this life. Tell me, is this worth? Are her sacrifices being unnoticed till eternity worth?
A girl, right since the beginning, makes so many sacrifices for everyone that we fail to realize, she has a heart too. When she makes tea for you, you simply gulp it down without taking into consideration the efforts she took for it. When she prepares food for everyone, you are always ready to point out some or the other nook, instead of appreciating her efforts. What does it take to say a simple ‘Thank you’, eh? All the boyfriends out there, you might not even be aware how much your girl is slogging, just to keep you happy. Mr. Fiancée, you might not even know what her job might be meaning to her. How could you ask her to give it up?
After marriage, a girl changes her surname, first name too at times. She transforms herself completely to get adjusted in your family. She amends her identity for you. Would guys be able to do this? Of course not! This takes gumptions, which god has sanctified to a woman.
I had read somewhere, a human being can bear upto 45 del (units) of pain. But while childbirth, a woman bears 57 del of pain, just to give a new life which abandons her later, to keep you and your family happy and satisfied. Yet, no one gives a damn about her struggle. Why? Doesn’t she have a heart? Doesn’t she possess any feelings? Doesn’t she like to get appreciation? Doesn’t she deserve to have someone who’d think of her happiness like she always does for everyone?
How many of you know your mother’s favourite colour? Her favourite dish? Her favourite place? Her favourite, just everything? If sometimes, your mother doesn’t take your likes and dislikes into consideration, you become angry and do whatnot. What about her likes and dislikes? Is no one concerned with that?
Think folks, give her the appreciation she deserves, and give her that tiny happiness which she’s been longing for years!

Hubbies, go tell your wife, Mr. Fiancée, go tell your Miss. Fiancée, Fathers, go tell your daughters and boys, go tell your girlfriend, “You’re wonderful and Thank You for everything you’ve done for me.” You never know what it could mean to her! J

Passion!!

Each time I decide to write something, I start running beyond words. But once I begin writing, there's no stop. I can write for hours, without food, water or sleep. It's my passion. People might call me crazy, but that's what I am. Yes, I am crazy about my passion. And you should be, too!
There's no human without passion. The want, the desire or the desperation to achieve that goal of your life which would land you on cloud nine, the mere thought of which gives you chills and no matter what is going in your life, you have that victorious and composed smile pasted on your face. That feeling, when you want to prove the ones who discourage you wrong,  the ones you love feel proud, and those strong vibes you feel rushing through your veins, these are the things that define you, my friend. Don't you feel like showing the world what you have in yourself? One of my friend likes cooking, he invents so many new recipes, and I am proud of him for that. Like him, so many people have a die hard passion for something and may it be way too hard for that person to abide by his passion, at the end of the day he is successful!
Get up folks, persevere your passion, walk that long path, snatch success in your hands and show it to the world what you really are. :) :)

The Unbreakable You :)

Life is full of uncertainty and qualm, and we are never ever satisfied by whatever we get. We always want more, of everything. This mere desire of getting more makes us greedy. I've seen people saying, "I am ready to do anything for this." And they're really ready to do that anything. But life has it's own ways. It doesn't always grant us what we want. And in the process of being abstained from getting what we want, is a long and arduous feeling called 'Pain.'
So this thing, the pain, as John Green says, it demands to be felt. And this breaks and shakes the inner self of us, creates a deep trench in our soul and makes our heart incapably void. But, is this pain worth? Does one deserve to suffer this much? Maybe yes, maybe no. But every one deserves to have the ability to overcome that pain, to let go of the thing that hurts and come out even stronger. There are people who rebel against themselves in order to put an end to their despair. Fighting their own demons, they overcome and vanquish their sadness and they smile. And that is the smile which is worth. A smile which didn't give up. You know, giving up is easy and so is mourning over the loss of our beloved ones. The difficult part lies in continuing, withstanding and having the power to understand and never give up.
And to salute this never give up spirit, Write India Publishers bring up the anthology, "The Unbreakable You" - a collection of stories of people who continued and did not stop believing that miracles do happen. :)
